Editor’s Note
This index is a finding aid rather than a transcription of the wills themselves. Names, initials, abbreviations, page references, and the original entry order have been preserved. No definite name or page-number error could be established from the supplied transcription alone.
The asterisk identifies an “Election of widow,” as stated in the original index. The starred entries for James C. Darling (page 563), George N. Gray (page 421), Frank Neekamp (page 323), and Ephriam Smith (page 570) have therefore been retained alongside their separate unstarred entries.
Readings that may merit comparison with the original records include Christopher Ensinget (page 439), Leo Eberk (page 552), Katherine Oernish (page 379), and “Ephriam” Smith (pages 564 and 570). These are not confirmed errors, and no guessed spellings have been substituted. The given-name field “S. J. Mrs.” for Brush (page 336) is also retained as supplied.
