Joseph D. McKee

Rev. Joseph D. McKee was ordained to the ministry of the regular Baptist church on March 2, 1873, at South Point, Lawrence County, Ohio, by Rev. W. W. Davidson, James M. Kelley, and P. M. Robinson. He has been a faithful minister ever since.

Peter McCarty

Peter McCarty was born in Lawrence County, Ohio, on October 10, 1849. He is a resident of Aid township; by occupation, he is a collier. His parents, John and Hannah (Yates) McCarty, settled in this county in 1820.

Mathilda Burcham

The Ironton Register of July 2, published at Ironton, Ohio, contained the subjoined article concerning the death of Mrs. Mathilda Burcham, grandmother of Mr. Louis Burcham who is situated at Wilbert in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. The obituary was handed a representative of the South by Mr. E.B. McCorkle who was born and raised in the same county as was Mr. Burcham, but didn’t meet him until they both came to Louisiana.

Peras R. Polly

Peras R. Polly was a Judge of the Probate Court of Lawrence County, Ohio, who was born in Otsego County, New York, on May 5th, 1815. He was the third child in a family of ten children, whose parents were Daniel Polley and Mary (Holcomb) Polley. His father, a native of Massachusetts, followed through life the trade of millwright.

Stephen A. Massie

Stephen A. Massie was the seventh child of Jonathan and Margaret (Roach) Massie. He was born in Mason township on January 1, 1840. He lived with his parents until he was twenty-four years of age when he was married to Rebecca F. Fox, who was born Walnut township, Gallia county, Ohio, on June 29, 1843.
