Martin Templeton was a farmer of Windsor township, in which occupation he has been engaged all his life; he was born in Union township, this county, January 2, 1845, and married in the same place, December 27, 1877, to Adella Kimball

William E. Rowe

William E. Rowe and Asenath J. Melvin were married in this county on January 29, 1863; he was born in Pike County, Kentucky, on August 9, 1835; while his wife was born in Lawrence County, Ohio, on November 22, 1845.  The father of William (Reuben Rowe) died May 6, 1856, and his mother, Clara (Fry), died October 8, 1880; they came to this county in 1828. 

Elliot Pemberton

Elliot Pemberton was born on August 4, 1832, in Lawrence County. His father, John Pemberton, came to this county from Kanawha County, Virginia, in 1822; he found this county an unbroken forest, there were no roads, nothing but cow-paths; the county was very thinly settled.

John B. Melvin

John B. Melvin was a farmer at Perry Township he was born in Lawrence County Ohio 17 Aug 1813 he was also married in this county on 8 Aug 1841 to Rhoda gore who is a native of this county born on 14 October 1822. his parents Jonathan and Nancy a broom Melvin were among The Pioneers of this county.
