Earles of the county of Lawrence, State of Ohio, have bargained and sold and do hereby grant and convey unto the said J.W. Earles

Richard Ratliff in consideration of the sum of two hundred and forty eight dollars and fifty cents to him in hand by William Ballard of the county of Lawrence and State of Ohio the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell and convey to the said William Ballard his heirs

Know all men by these presents that we Stephen Ballard and Mariah C. Ballard Wife of said Stephen Ballard in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars in hand paid by John Ballard do hereby remise release and forever quitclaim unto the said John Ballard his heirs and assigns forever all our title interest and estate legal and equitable in the following premises with appurtenances situate in the county of Lawrence in the State of Ohio bounded and described as follows to wit: The east half of the southeast quarter of section number thirty two township number one range number eighteen.
