    Dear Moderator,
I made a couple of typographical errors in the previously entered comment.

    Thank you,

Structure on Washingon Street, two lots East, South East from Franklin Avenue marked as M.P. Parsonage (sic.: Methodist Protestant Church Parsonage) was purchased by Mrs. Thomas A. (Wanda) Walker in 1945 and continue to live in this house for the next 77 years. The structure was supported by stones but was later elevated by the addition of concrete block foundation above the 1937 flood stage.

Mr. Thomas A. Walker hand-dug a nearly full basement beneath the house and used his funds from the WWII G.I. bill to pay for the foundation. Mrs. Walker (Wanda L. Carter Walker) used funds from E bonds to purchase the M.P. Parsonage structure for the sum of between $800 – $900. Mr. Walker remodels the 800 sq. ft. dwelling a number of times by adding shaking siding in the 1960s and adding a dining room and deck on the rear of the home.
