James F. Peters was an insurance agent, residing in Ironton, where he was born in the year 1857. His parents are John and Mary C. Peters. James was married to Jennie Bird in 1879 at Ironton.

Ironton Tribune 15 Oct. 1937, of 804 Park Ave. Ironton; b. 7 Mar 1857 at Oldenburg, England; d/o Mark Skelding and Edward J. Bird; she came to America with her parents in 1869, the family residing at Frostburg, MD, Chicago, and Milwaukee, finally locating in Ironton in 1877.
She m. James F. Peters 27 Nov 1879, 4 children born; husband d. 7 Jan 1892; four children survived are:
- Mrs. Mildred Peters McNary, b. 1881 of Bellville, NJ;
- Frank B. of Ft. Thomas, Ky;
- James F. of Chicago
- Miss Jennie at home;
Mrs. Peters had two sisters, Mrs. Hugh Russell and Mrs. A. P. Cole of Ironton, and one brother Arthur P. Bird of Covington, Va., and five grandchildren; one bro. E.J. Bird, Sr. died recently; interment Woodland.
The post office address of Mr. and Mrs. Peters is Coal Grove, Lawrence County, Ohio.
