About Woodland Cemetery Index of Interment Records 1871 – 1936

This Index Contains Burial Numbers 1 – 11263

When an individual was buried in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio, the cemetery assigned that person a unique number.

The Interment Records were recorded by date and Interment number, not name. The numbering system gave each person buried in Woodland a unique number. Hello Mr. Neumann,
Regarding your comment above that you posted on The Lawrence Register website about Woodland Cemetery. My website is a genealogy and historical website about the history of Lawrence County, Ohio. The burial list I have on the website is entirely for genealogy purposes only. I do not have any legal connections to Woodland Cemetery, nor do I even live in the state of Ohio.
My suggestion would be for you to call Woodland Cemetery office at Phone: (740) 532-2372.
My condolences to your loss and best wishes in getting this issue resolved.
    Martha from The Lawrence Register

My parents Mr. & Mrs Walter Neumann are interred in your mausoleum. Is there sufficient space to inter their daughter’s ashes in an urn alongside her parents. Our father’s body is in a full sized coffin and our mothers ashes are in a small box in the adjacent vault. Would it be appropriate to place the sisters urn in the same vault with the mothers. There would be plenty of space.for both. I would be happy to pay the cost of rearranging vaults to accommodate all three side by side.

My name is James W. Neumann, 8667 SW 83rd Loop, Ocala, FL 34481; 352-484-1060. My sister Judy and I are Fran’s next of kin and are legally responsible to find a final resting place for Fran’s ashes. Her full name is Frances j. Neumann. Whatever costs are involved will be paid from Fran’s estate in accord with her Will. Please let me know the feasibility of this plan.u

I am trying to verify the birth year of my great grandfather, John Blevins, GAR, who died in 1912 and is buried in your GAR section. Where can I find a copy of the grave card and also where did that information come from. Thank you so much in advanced
