Elias Jenkins is the son of Nathan and Hannah (Webb) Jenkins. He was born in this county on March 14, 1846, and married on August 27, 1868, to Sarah E., daughter of George W. and Sarah (Manring) Corn. She was born in Lawrence County on May 15, 1853.
Their children are:
- Allie E., born July 8, 1869; resides in Lawrence County, Ohio.
- Emma S., December 5, 1870.
- Nathan E., July 13, 1872.
- Lucretia S., November 3, 1873.
- George E., February 14, 1874, died February 25, 1874.
- Charles A., March 14, 1876.
- William C., April 23, 1878.
- Alvie N., April 16, 1880.
- Otto W., March 8, 1882.
