William Losey

William Losey, March 1833 of Rome, Lawrence County, Ohio, aged 70 and upwards, enlisted in Morris County, NJ, with Capt. Hubbard, Marched to Newark, where he was stationed to prevent the British and Tories from plundering the country. He was in no battles but had skirmished with the enemy, helping in battles along the river.

The next August, about 18 months? after his discharge, he enlisted for three months at the? Morris and Sussex of NJ. He lived in Morristown and Morris county until he was about 25 years old. Then in Sussex county, for about seven years, from then to Geneva, NY, where living 6 or 8 years and in Pittsburgh for one year, in Marietta for two years, and finally settled in Rome township, Lawrence county, Ohio, where he has resided about 15 years.
