Dunn, he having been born July 9, 1820, and he seemed surprised when asked about his age, as though someone must be curious, forgetting the fact that 82 years is a good long time as ages go, and yet he carries no care nor in the least marked by disease or infirmity, and is likely to hold his own a good many more days and years.

James S. Duncan, born July 9, 1858, in Jackson County, Ohio, was the proprietor of a flourishing general store at Limestone and also extensively engaged in the limestone business. His parents, James and Amy (Verner) Duncan, were both born in Armstrong County, Penn., the father in 1827 and the mother in 1835.
Rockwood Storm Damage 1903
At Rockwood, Lawrence County, Ohio, several buildings were struck and the home of Elijah Curtis was totally wrecked. Mrs. Curtis was picked up unconscious and is yet in critical condition. Other seriously injured are Mrs. Noah Hix of Rockwood, Ohio, Mrs. Vernie Newman, and Anna Brammer of Huntington.

Frank Millirons was arrested near Arabia, Lawrence County, Ohio, this afternoon by Officer Roy Hill and brought here and placed in jail. It is alleged that Millirons is the leader of a notorious gang that has made and circulated thousands of dollars worth of spurious gold coins in the cities of the Middle West.

Mrs. Gertrude Russell, a member of a prominent Lawrence County, Ohio family, was arrested by Deputy US Marshal Daniel White of Huntington on a warrant charging her with attempting to pass counterfeit money.

After completion of the Hatcher (of Belmont County Ohio), the case of Abraham Culver, of Ironton, Ohio, was taken up on the indictment against him for having in possession counterfeit nickels. In this case, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
Counterfeit Ten Dollar Bill
French Chamblin, alias John Kell, an old fellow, was in arrest on the charge of attempting to pass a ten-dollar bill on the Iron Bank at Ironton, Ohio. The bill looks like a good one, probably as good as the bank itself, but as the witnesses were not ready the case was continued.

Some two weeks ago, a colored woman named Clara Jones made information before Mayor Volz against a black man named William Erbie, charging him with passing on her two counterfeit $10 notes on the “Iron Bank,” of Ironton, Ohio.
