Veterans of Revolutionary War

Veterans of the Revolutionary War in Ohio. – The following heroes are all that are left in this State, of those who fought for our National Independence; and by their ages, we cannot hope they will be with us long:  “Amariah Crandall, Lake county, 100 years; J. Farrsad, Cuyahoga county, 95 years; Wm. Jones, Clermont county, 98 years; Adam Link, Crawford county, 99 years; James McDermott, Richland county, 99 years; John Strait, Gallia county, 99 years; Samuel Sanford, Portage county, 93 years; Carey A. Toney, Preble county, 98 years.” Ironton Register Aug. 25, 1859

The following list is Lawrence County, Ohio Revolutionary War Veterans, even though they did not live in our county or state at the time of the war, they all eventually moved to or had some type of connection to our county.
