He married Barbara Lionberger, daughter of John Lionberger, in 1768 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. She was born in 1749 in Hawksbill, Virginia. She died in 1833 in Shenandoah, Virginia.

4. i. MARY4 STOVER was born about 1765 in Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia. She married (1) ABRAHAM BRUBAKER, son of Abraham Brubaker and Barbara Long, in 1782 in Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia. He was born on 14 Jun 1761 in Near Luray, Page County, Virginia. He died in 1805 in Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia. She married (2) FRANCIS REESE after 1805.

5. ii. DANIEL STOVER was born on 22 Feb 1769 in Shenandoah Co., Va. He died between 24-26 Mar 1845 in Page County, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Stickley, daughter of Benjamin Stickley and Ann Stover, on 30 Jun 1794 in Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia.

6. iii. DAVID STOVER was born about 1771. He died in 1884. He married Regina Stickley, daughter of Benjamin Stickley and Ann Stover, on 03 Aug 1799 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.

7. iv. SAMUEL STOVER was born about 1773 in Dunsmore, Virginia. He died after 1817 in Licking County, Ohio. He married Susannah Brumbach in about 1795 in Virginia.

8. v. BARBARA ANN STOVER was born on 22 Jul 1774 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. She married Jacob Hottell on 29 Nov 1796 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.

9. vi. JOHN STOVER was born in May 1776 in Shenandoah Co., Va. He died on 01 Jul 1820 in Scioto County, Ohio. He married Elizabeth Strickler, daughter of John Strickler and Barbara Brumbach, on 26 Jun 1804. She died in 1847.
