Early Villages, Communities, and Places

When a Genealogist tries to establish where one’s ancestor once lived, the following accounts of early places and their origins are priceless. This research should be used along with the Early Post Office resource page, in which post offices were established in nearly every small community, along with an appointed postmaster.

The researched pages of “Early Places in Lawrence County, Ohio” were compiled by Sharon M. Kouns, who was generous enough to share her findings with The Lawrence Register. We are grateful for her willingness to share her material with us.

My husbands Coyle Family has a cemetery north of Rome near 5 Mile Creek Rd, is there any listing of family plots in the county?
