John A. White

John A. White and Augusta A. Haskell were married in Georgetown, Pennsylvania, on October 9, 1853.  He was born in East Virginia, on October 14, 1835.  His wife was born in Haskellville, Lawrence County, Ohio, on June 3, 1842.  Mr. White’s parents are John and Nancy White.  They came to this county in 1842.  John A. came in 1853.  He resides in Perry township and is engaged as a farmer and cooper.  The parents of Mrs. White are James and Harriet A. (Fuller) Haskell, who settled in this county in 1819.  Mr. White has been postmaster at Forest Dale since 1869. 

The following comprise his children: 

  • Hattie A., born December 9, 1855, died November 23, 1873;
  • Eva, May 22, 1856, died July 14, 1858;
  • Edwin Haskell, December 13, 1858;
  • Alphonso Fuller, October 12, 1860;
  • Effie Grace, May 12, 1863;
  • Alphonsin M., April 16, 1866;
  • Florence B., January 16, 1868;
  • John M., October 1, 1870;
  • Adela Roma, April 15, 1876;
  • Carrie Maude, April 15, 1880;
  • baby, January 2, 1882. 

They all reside at home.  Address, Forest Dale, Lawrence County, Ohio.
