Homer McCoy

Homer Wirt McCoy, a bond dealer, was born in Sheridan, Ohio, on 29 April 1859. He received a collegiate and university education and began his business career in the wholesale drug business at Peoria, Ill., in 1880. He connected with banks in Cuba and Peoria, Ill., from 1886-1901.

He came to Chicago in 1901 and entered the business of dealing in bonds. He was elected President of the Illinois Bankers’ Association in 1902. He belongs to the American Bankers Association, Union League Club, and other organizations.

NOTE: His brother was Dr. Charles McCoy, who was accused of murder in 1914.
