Since that time, he has lived a Christian. While his afflictions have been great the last five years of his life, he has always kept at the foot of the cross of Jesus.

He was an affectionate companion, a fond and loving father, a good neighbor, and as he was nearing the river of death, he said all is well, I am prepared to go. Funeral services preached by Rev. E. B. Richey.

Oh! dear how sad and lonely,

To see that vacant chair,

It was once joy and pleasure,

To see him sitting there.

    Hi There,

Back in 2008 I did some extensive research on this family, up front thinking this George Bennett fit into a branch of my ancestors, I like researching all the siblings in each generation. Turns out this George’s parents were Joshua Bennet and Isabella Broom and the one connected to mine via a female Rawlins marrying a Bennett father was Benjamin Bennett and Mary Brisentene.

I haven’t the heart to pitch all this research out, hoping one day to find a descendant to pass it along to basically for just postage cost, forgoing research time and compiling all the data collected.

I give my permission for those interested to email me, please put Bennett in the subject line so I do not delete your email accidently.

    Happy Researching,

    Judi Burkhardt
