Alison, Thank you for your comments and information about your family. Thank you for your kind offer. Unfortunately, I don’t see any connections to Lawrence County, Ohio, which is the area The Lawrence Register website covers.
Martha
I am a Strickler descendent (the line that moved from the Shenandoah County/Page County, VA area down to the Rockbridge County/Augusta County, VA area and then back up to the New Market, VA area). I visited the cemetery at Emmanuel Lutheran in New Market today to put flowers on the graves of my grandmother (Anna Lee Strickler Stover Musser), great-grandparents (Charles Monroe and Maggie Elizabeth Wright Strickler) and great-great grandparents (James and Mary M. Strickler). There are many Stricklers in that cemetery and I believe they are all related through Abraham Strickler who settled in the Egypt Bend area (Page County) of the Shenandoah Valley in the early 1700s. I have been interested in piecing together my family history so took photos of many Strickler graves today, including Emanuel Strickler’s grace. Please send me an email if you’d like pictures of it and the church where he is buried.
