Charles Peters

Charles Peters was born in the city of Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio, on November 19, 1855.  He is the son of John and Mary C. Peters. 

He was educated in Ironton, and after leaving school went to Monitor Furnace as a bookkeeper in 1873, where he remained for two years when he accepted a similar position at the Lawrence Furnace, which he filled until February 1881, when he returned to the Monitor Furnace. 

He was married to Rosalie M. Murdock, at Ironton, on February 8, 1877.  She is the daughter of Drake S. and Mahala Murdock.  She graduated from high school in Ironton in June 1873. 

They have one son, John Albert, born November 15, 1877, who resides at home.  The post office address of Mr. Peters is Coal Grove, Lawrence County, Ohio.
