Charles L. Pixley

Charles L. Pixley and Ruhama S. Cadot, were married in Scioto County, Ohio in 1863.  They are both natives of that county.

They have the following children:

• Carrie M., born in 1867;
• Nellie C., in 1873;
• Essie, in 1875;
• Mary A., in 1878.

The parents of Mr. Pixley were Seymore and Betsy Elizabeth Pixley, both deceased.  The parents of Mrs. Pixley are C. C. Cadot and Cynthia Ann Stockham.

Mr. Pixley had a brother in the late war, a member of the 91st Ohio Volunteer Infantry, serving three years.

Mr. Pixley is engaged in the livery business.  In 1870 he was engaged in the patent roofing business and sewing machines at the same time.  He was also at one time in the wharf-boat business.  He started in the livery business in 1871 at his present location.
