The Index of Wills for Books 1 – 14 was abstracted from the original volumes in the Lawrence County, Ohio, courthouse between 1847-1941. This makes it easier for the researcher to find a name without going through every ledger. You can find the actual wills for 1847-1883 at familysearch.org. Contact the Probate Court at Ironton, Ohio’s courthouse, for later intentions.
