This is to sirtify [sic] that the following is a correct statement of a marriage.

Condition of both Singel [sic]

Both born in Cabel [sic] County VA

Names of husbands Parents John Brumfield and Rachal Brumfield

Names of wifes Parance [sic] William Smith and Sary Smith

Rapation [sic] of husband farmer

Given under my hand as a Minster of the M.E. Church South

Legally authrized [sic]to Solemnise marriages this the 24 day of April in A.D. 1856
