Henry Crawford Certificate of Discharge

 “To all whom it may concern:.”

Know ye that Henry Crawford, a sergeant of Lieut John W. Johnson’s Company (H) Ninth Regiment of West Virginia Infantry Volunteers, who was enrolled on the eighteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one, to serve three years or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States, this eighteenth day of October 1864, at Strasburg, Virginia, by reason of expiration of term of service.

(No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.)  Said Henry Crawford was born in Columbiana County, in the State of Ohio, is thirty-two years of age, five feet nine ½ inches high, light complexion, blue eyes, dark hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a Blacksmith.

Given at Strasberg, this eighteenth day of October 1864.
