JUDGE CURTIS SCOVILL – Associate Judge
Ironton Register, Thursday, December 6, 1860 – Death of son-in-law.
Died in New Orleans on Nov. 25, 1860, Capt. George W. Kouns, of Burlington, commander of the Red River steamer Red Chief No. 1, aged about 33 years. He leaves a family of four children, his wife, a daughter of Judge Scovill, having died some four years since. The remains were brought back to Burlington.
