Know all men by these presents, that John Ballard and Casander, his wife, of Lawrence County, Ohio, in consideration of Thirty-Five Hundred Dollars to us paid by Robert Stephen Wilson of the same place, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey to the said Robert Stephen Wilson, his heirs and assigns forever, the following described Real Estate, to wit: the East half of the North West quarter of Section thirty-three (33), of Town two (2), of Range seventeen, containing 88 acres and 20/100. Also, the South West qr. of the Northeast qr. of Section thirty-three (33) of Town two (2) of Range seventeen (17), Containing forty-four acres and then hundredths of an acre.

Also, the Southeast qr. of the South West qr. of Section twenty-eight (28) of Town two (2), of range seventeen (17). It contains forty-three & 81/100 acres.

Also, another tract as follows: All that part of the Northwest quarter of the South East quarter of Section thirty-three (33), Town two(2), range seventeen, which lies North West of Salida Creek, the middle of the said creek to be the dividing line.

Also, the following tract to wit: the North East part of the east half of the Northwest quarter of Section thirty-three (33) of Town two (2) of range seventeen, commencing at a stone in the North East corner of said tract, and running thence S 1: W 15 chains to a stone from which a beech 15 inches in diameter bears N 29: W 22 links and beech 15 inches in diameter bears North 36: E 12-1/2 links: Thence N 88: 40’ W 12.67 chains to a stone: thence N 1: E 15 chains to a stone, thence S 88: 40’ E 12.67 chains to the place of beginning—containing 19 acres more or less.

And all the Estate, title, and Interest of the said John Ballard, either in Law or Equity of, in and to the said premises, together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging and all the rents, issues, and profits thereof. To have and to hold the same to the only proper use of the told Robert S. Wilson his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said John Ballard for himself and for his heirs, executors, and administrators, doth hereby covenant with the said Robert S. Wilson, his heirs and assigns, that he is the true and lawful owner of the said premises, and hath full power to convey the same; and the title, so conveyed, is clear, free and unencumbered; and further, that he will warrant and defend the same against all claim or claims of all persons whomsoever.

In witness whereof the said John Ballard and Casander Ballard his wife, who hereby releases her right and expectancy of Dower in the said premises, hat hereunto set their hands and seals this 14th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
