Thought if someone researching John Herman Asbury b. 1902 in Lawrence County, s/o John Hickman Asbury and Amanda Davenport might be interested in this picture of John Herbert. He is holding my older sister, Sharon Thompson. I think this picture might have been taken in the Dayton, Ohio area, but not sure.
Clay Schoonover
FREEMAN RESEARCHERS . William & Sarah Parker Freeman’s daughter Sarah married Abraham Ferguson in 1839 in Law. Co. Their daughter Izelia Ferguson married Joseph Schoonover Feb. 19, 1878 in Law. Co. This is a little on their son Clay schoonover. Thought you might like to see Clay J. Schoonover was born in Oxford, Nebraska Oct. 21, 1889 and passed away April 18, 1945 in a Veterans Hospital in Colorado.
Clay was a professional baseball player having played with the Arapahoe, Red Cloud and Hastings when a young boy.
He played with Omaha in the Western League in Grand Island in State League and played in Sterling, Colorado.
He served overseas in the Army during WWI in France and Germany having served with the 358 Infantry of the 89th. Div.
