John Cornell, age 64, died at his home on Blackstone Avenue at 9 O'Clock Monday morning (10-27).

The body will be shipped to Ironton Tuesday morning.  Burial will be on Wednesday.

 JOHN CORNELL DIED MONDAY

 John C. Cornell, aged 69 years, a former resident of Sharp's Creek this county, died Monday at his home in Washington Court House.

The body was arrived in this city yesterday over the DT&I and was taken to the home of Samuel McGlone of South Third St. , a son-in-law of the deceased.

The funeral services and burial will occur some time today at the family cemetery at Sharp's Creek under the direction of Bingaman and Jones.

CORNELL FUNERAL WAS HELD TODAY

 The funeral of John C. Cornell, age 69, was held at the old home place on Sharp's Creek, with burial in the family cemetery under the direction of Bingaman & Jones.

The deceased died Monday at his home at Washington C.H.. and the body was brought to this city yesterday and removed to the old home for burial.

Noah Maskel Cornell

Noah Maskel Cornell, 88, died at 1:45 PM Sunday ( 2/23/06 ) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Loy Sanderson, 724 Murray St , where he made his home.

Born in Lawrence County , Mr. Cornell lived the last 18 years of his life in Clark County , but prior to that spent many years in Fayette County .  He lived in the Octa and West Lancaster communities.

Survivors include 110 direct descendants--2 daughters, Mrs. Sandreson and Mrs. Leora Henskey of Springfield , 6 sons, Ancil and Elmer of Jeffersonville, Arthur of London, Charlie of Pittsburgh, Pa and John Maskel and George E of Sprinfield; 38 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.


Services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday (2/26) at the Richards Memorial Home, Springfield , where friends may call any time.  Burial will be in Milledgeville Cemetery .
