RAINE, John       I.R. Nov. 22, 1877
John Raine, an old citizen of Ironton, died last Thursday. He was born at Stanhope, County of Durham, England, Sept. 11, 1815. Came to America in 1843, settling at Nelsonville, Athens Co., Ohio; removed to Rome, in this county in 1851 and to Ironton in 1852. He died of asthma.

Died Dec 30, 1882 on Ice Creek. 70yrs old.

RECJKARD, Salmon       Jan 20, 1881
Died last Thursday night. Lived at Quaker Bottom. Ab. 82yrs old.

REED, Prudence       Mar 30, 1882
Died near Scottown, Mar 24, 1882. Wife of Joseph Reed, and daughter of W. F. Burcham. 29yrs old.

RICE, Minerva, Mrs.       Jul 14, 1881
Died Jul 2, 1881. Wife of David Rice and was sick for 5 years.

RICHARDS, Effie Marie       I.R. Aug. 8, 1901

ROACH, Mrs.       Dec 16, 1880
Died, lived at Greasy Ridge.

ROBBY, Berry, Mrs.       Jul 14, 1881
Died of heat. 77yrs old. White haired inmate of Infirmary.

ROBERTS, Elizabeth, Mrs.       I.R. Mar 6, 1879
Died In Ironton, Sunday, Mar. 2, 1879, Mrs. Elizabeth Roberts, mother of R. W. Roberts. The dec'd was born in North Wales, July, 17___ and came to America in 1850(?).

ROBINSON, Ann, (Grandma)       I.R. Dec. 24, 1903
Grandma Ann Robinson, formerly a resident of this city, died Dec. 16 at Pittsburgh, Pa., at an advanced age. Funeral at the residence of Albert McKinney. Burial at Woodland.

Infant son of Alfred & Alice Robinson died. 7m old.

ROBINSON, J. V. , Major, Jr.       I.R. Apr 3, 1862
Died in Portsmouth, March 23d, Major J. V. Robinson, Jr., aged 42 years. The son of J. V. Robinson, Sr. He was among the first of our citizens to respond to his country's call, and immediately upon offering his services, was appointed by Gov. Dennison as Major of the 33d Regiment. .. The well known Piketon campaign is acknowledged by our troops during the war... Portsmouth Tribune.

Died Nov 13, 1881. Wife of John Rose of Etna Furnace. 35yrs old. Mother of ten children.

Died of consumption. Buried last Friday at Hales Church, Kelley's Mill.

Died at the Tunnel Oct 6, 1882. Buried LaGrange.

ROTH, Charles       Sep 28, 1882
Died Sep 24, 1882 of typhoid fever. Burial Woodland.

ROWE, Eliza.       Jan 6, 1881
Died of consumption, Lived at Spring Branch.

RUCKER, Mrs.       Dec 22, 1882
Died, buried Powellsville.

RUMLER, J.       March 11, 1880
Died March 4, 1880 of delirium tremors due to drinking, about 40yrs old.

RYAN, Unknown       I.R. April 1, 1880
