He was Ironton's only broom maker. He learned the art of making brooms
at the Eyeberry school of Columbus. Mr. Keiser lost his eyesight
during a smallpox epidemic forty years ago... He is survived by two
brothers, Frank Keiser, of this city, and Adam Keiser of Ashland.
Interment in Woodland Cemetery.

and Esther Kelley, in the 7th year of her age.

Ironton Register
aged 65y, died 1 Dec 1899? at Huntington, WV at his son's home. Came
to this county with his parents at the age of 10y old. Daughter died
at a railroad crossing some months ago. Mentions sons, Will &
Fletcher. Born in Jackson Co, OH. In Jan 1900 would have been 66y.
Burial in Woodland cemetery.

Death of Mrs. C. T. M. Kemp - On last Sunday, Mrs. Adelia Kemp, wife
of the late C. T. M. Kemp, died at her home in Whitwell. Her age was
54 years. She was married at Rockwood, June 4, 1856, and leaves five
children to mourn her loss. She contracted her last illness while
helping to take care of a sister's son through a fatal sickness. She
was a sister of Seliman and Frank Johnston and of the late Col. Sam'l
C. Johnston. Her birth place was Sheffield, Ashtabula Co. Ohio, and
she came to this region when a girl.

died on Aug 20, 1871 at his residence in Ironton after a brief
illness. 53yrs old.

Mrs. Kleinaman was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Melcher who were
born in Germany. The deceased is survived by her husband, two sons,
John and Frank, two daughters Minnie and Lenore, all of whom are
unmarried and reside at home. Also two brothers, Joseph Melcher of
Portsmouth and Peter Melcher of Pittsburgh, two sisters, Mrs. Mary
Hastuleur and Mrs. Earba Kreable both of Portsmouth. Interment at Mt.
Calvary.

Ernest Langor, a shoemaker, and a well-known city character, died at
the Charles S. Gray Deaconess Hosp., Monday, as a result of a stroke
of apoplexy induced by inebriety. No relatives lived here. His
brother, L. D. Langor lives at Dayton, Ohio.

An Irishman named Dennis Leary, was run over and killed on Saturday
last, by a freight train on the M. & C. R. R., near the McArthur
Station. The dec'd was lying on the track as the train came up, and
was not observed until too late to prevent the accident. - McArthur
Democrat.
