The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Eachus, died Tuesday night at the home of the parents at Center Furnace. Burial was at Stewart's graveyard on Pohn's creek.

EARLS, Martha Wall, Mrs.       Ironton Tribune - Tuesday 1/11/1972
Mrs. Martha Wall EARLS, 75, of Scottown, Ohio, died Monday in a Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Center Point Baptist Church by the Rev. Amos Wilson. Burial will be in the Perkins Ridge Cemetery at Scottown. Born April 10, 1896, she was a daughter of the late Trumbo and Sarah Hayes Wall. Her husband, Cecil Earls, died in 1960. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Berry of Proctorville and Mrs. Bertha Lewis of Elyria, Ohio; two brothers, Ralph Wall of Scottown and Thomas Wall of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Garnell of Columbus, five grandchildren and a great grandchild. Friends may call at the Schneider Funeral Home at Chesapeake.

EDMONDS, Floyd       Huntington Herald Dispatch - Wed. 12/15/1954
Floyd EDMONDS - Forty-nine years old of Milton Route 3, who died yesterday morning in a Huntington hospital, will be buried in the Bias Cemetery following funeral services at 2 pm tomorrow at the Bias Chapel with the Rev. Harold Jefferson officiating. Mr. Edmonds was a carpenter. Surviving include two sons, Floyd Edmonds Jr., of Lesage and Mickey Edmonds of Milton Route 3; one parent, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Edmonds of Milton Route 3; one sister, Delcie Perry of Huntington, and three brothers, Shelby, Miles and Herbert Edmonds of Milton Route 3. The body will be taken to the residence at 4:30 pm today from the Heck Funeral Home at Milton.

EDMUNDS, Floyd, Jr.       The Herald Dispatch - Sun. 4/7/1991
Floyd EDMUNDS Jr, 64, of Chesapeake, Ohio, Route 2, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, April 6, 1991, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, W.Va. by the Rev. Charles Christian. Burial will be in Bias Chapel Cemetery, near Milton. He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Huntington, a son of the late Floyd and Lulu Williams Edmunds. He was a retired employee with Huntington Alloys, and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Juanita B. Edmunds; one brother, Mickey Edmunds of Milton; three half sisters, Joan Webb of Logan, Willa Mae Ratcliff of Milton and Rosa Scarberry of Salt Rock, W.Va.; two half brothers, Richard Webb of Oklahoma, and William Webb of Ona, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Last rites for August Eilert, Jr. were held this afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church...interment in Powellsville cemetery.

ELKINS, Anise Hardy, Mrs.       Huntington Herald Dispatch - Sat. 12/26/1964
Mrs. Anise Hardy ELKINS - 67 year old, 210 Susan Street, Proctorville, Ohio, who died Thursday, will be buried in the Getaway Cemetery following funeral services tomorrow at 2 pm at the Getaway Methodist Church. Service will be conducted by the Rev Raymond Bragg and the Rev Orville Carrico. The body was taken from the Schneider Funeral Home at Chesapeake, Ohio, yesterday to the residence, where friends may call until the hour of services.

ELKINS, James C.       Huntington Herald Dispatch - Sat. 6/13/1953
James C. ELKINS - Sixty years old, of Proctorville, died at 12:40 p.m. yesterday at his home after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Getaway, O., Methodist Church by the Rev. David Click and the Rev. Robert Whitley. Burial will be in the Getaway Cemetery. Mr. Elkins was born July 22, 1892, at Getaway, a son of the late Frank and Anna Ellis Elkins. He was veteran of World War I, and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow Mrs. Anise Elkins; six daughters, Mrs. Lilly Stapleton and Mrs. Helen Smith of Proctorville, Mrs. Martha Pine and Mrs. Ana Halleck of Chesapeake, Mrs. Emogene Sheppard of Huntington, and Miss Marjorie Elkins at home; one son, Corbet Elkins of Proctorville; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Leffingwell of South Point and Mrs. Liza McMasters of Chesapeake; one brother Alex Elkins of Chesapeake, and 23 grandchildren. One daughter, Dorothy Elkins, preceded him in death. The body will be taken to the residence at 2 p.m. today from the Schneider Funeral Home at Chesapeake.

Ervin Emory, a well known truck peddler of Chaffin Mills, dropped dead while on his rounds. (Under Mt. Vernon News)
