DAVIDSON, M. Dustin IDR Nov.

M. Dustin Davidson, pioneer and prominent resident of Burlington,
passed away at his home Tuesday. Mr. Davidson was postmaster at
Burlington for many years and had charge of that office when the
station was discontinued by the federal government. He was born Feb.
23, 1848 and was 77y 8m 17d old. He is survived by his wife and four
children: Mrs. Homer Davidson of Catlettsburg, Ky., Mrs. George M.
Campbell, of Portsmouth and Miss Estella Davidson at home. One
brother, Colonel James M. Davidson of Chicago, also survives.

Arley Monroe DELAWDER 81, of Chesapeake, husband of Lillie Johnson
Delawder, died Monday at his residence. He was a retired Kessler Brass
Foundry employee. Also surviving are three daughters, Barbara Chaney
of Proctorville and Betty Ward and Brenda Wright, both of Chesapeake;
and three sons, Marvin R. Delawder and Dale Delawder of Chesapeake,
and Darvin Delawder of Lexington, NC. Funeral 3 pm tomorrow at
Schneider Funeral Home, Chesapeake, burial in Highland Memorial
Gardens, South Point.

Marvin R. DeLAWDER, 59, of Chesapeake, Ohio, died Friday in St.
Mary's Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was a retired employee of Steel of
WV. Surviving are 3 sisters, Barbara Chaney of Proctorville, Ohio,
Betty Ward and Brenda Wright, both of Chesapeake, Ohio; and 2
brothers, Darvin DeLawder of Lexington, NC, and Robert DeLawder of
Chesapeake, Ohio. Funeral at 2 pm Monday at Schneider Funeral Home,
Chesapeake, Ohio; burial in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point,
Ohio.

Col. A. T. Dempsey, a former resident of this county, died at his
home at Westerville, O., Tuesday. He was about 66 years of age. Mr.
Dempsey was formerly connected with some business enterprises in this
city and at one time was the owner of a book store here. Several years
ago he disposed of his interests here and went to Westerville, where
he has since been in the stock business. He was a great admirer of the
Jersey stock and was recognized as the leading breeder of this stock
in the state of Ohio. He also had a national reputation as such. He is
survived by a wife and eight children. Interment at Woodland Cemetery,
Ironton.

Isaac C. Dovel, an old and prominent citizen of Ironton, died last
Sunday, with something like pneumonia. Mr. Dovel was born in Page
county, Va., Dec. 12, 1811, and was 68 years of age. He was married to
Esther Keyser, Sept. 6, 1832; moved to Greenup Co., Ky., in 1843, and
to Ironton in 1854, though he was engaged in business here the year
before that. For 25 years he has conducted the business of the
Exchange Bank... Interment at Woodland.

William Duis, pioneer resident of Wheelersburg, was laid to rest
Friday, Dec. 31st, 1920(sic 1919). He was born in Bremen, Germany,
August 18th, 1833, and died December 29, 1920 (sic 1919), aged
87y4m11d. His wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Duis, preceded him in death in
March, 1918. Mr. Duis came to this country at the age of 12
years...resident of Wheelersburg for sixty years. He leaves five
children living: Mrs. Lyda Meek of San Diego, Texas, Mrs. Elizabeth
Beel of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Anna M. Ketter of Ironton, Ohio and Jane
and Winifred of Wheelersburg, twenty-nine grandchildren and eleven
great grandchildren. Interment in Wheelersburg Cemetery.

Seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Duncan of Chesapeake,
died at the residence yesterday morning. Death was a attributed to
pneumonia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M.. tomorrow at
the Point Pleasant Christian Church in Lawrence County by the Rev. Max
Cleveland Burial will be in Centenary Cemetery Donald was a first
grade pupil at Windsor School. Surviving in addition to the parents
are a sister Carol Duncan, a brother Billy Ray Duncan, at a home; the
maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Leffingwell of Chesapeake and
the paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Duncan of Willowwood, OH.
The body has been taken to the residence from the Schneider Funeral
Home at Chesapeake.
