Giles Upton, citizen of Buckhorn Fce., instantly killed on the 11th inst., by the falling of an ore bank . . . Native of Ireland, was about 40 years of age and leaves a wife and 5 children.

Joseph Utz who was hurt in a mine at Wellston last week died from the effects of the accident. He was about 40 years old and formerly lived in Ironton.

Formerly of this city, but who for several months has been employed in Moerlein's brewery at Cincinnati, died at that city this morning. He leaves a wife and three children. The funeral will take place Sunday at 2 p.m. from the German Reform church in this city..

Mrs. George P. Rodgers left last Monday for Uniontown, Penn., to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Vance.

Infant son of G. C. and Clara Varnum, was born Nov. 7, 1886, and died of inflammatory diarrhea, in Millers, O., on June 25, 1887, aged 7m 18d.

Aunt of Mr. R. D. McKnight. She died at her home at Millers, Lawrence county, Monday evening. Her husband had been county auditor.

Green Vermillion, of Symmes Tp., died last Friday. His age was about 67. Civil war veteran. Do not have end of this.

Died July 17th of cholera morbus, Conrad Vondersal, a native of Bavaria, age 50 years.

Mother of G. A. Vonschriltz, died last Saturday and was buried on Sunday. Her age was 62 yrs.

Mrs. Vonschriltz, mother of G. A. Vonschriltz, died last Saturday. Her age was 62 years.

VON STRANZ, PROF.       I.R. AUG. 13, 1885
Formerly of the Ironton schools, died in the Nashville Insane Asylum last Friday, after bein an inmate of that institution for four days. Softening of the brain was the cause.
