IRONTON-LAWRENCE COUNTY
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
COMMITTEE, INC.
P. O. Box 721
Ironton, Ohio 45638

GREETINGS,
Do you know that the Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade is
the oldest continuing Parade in the United States; that the Parade is
now the official Memorial Day Parade for the State of Ohio; that the
Parade had its beginning in 1868, making this our 130th Parade; that
it has been authenticated by Congress and is recorded in Washington,
D. C.? We are proud of Ironton-Lawrence County and its Parade!
We know that many of you do not have the time to
meet with us, the Committee, in its many hours of planning and
preparation. However, if you wish, you can help us in a monetary way
by helping with a donation, large or small. Any amount donated will be
used for the Parade and will be greatly appreciated by the Committee.
The Committee consists of all voluntary workers without pay.
You may not be aware of how the money is used and we are happy to
tell you. The following is a list of some of our expenses:
 | Flags for the cemetery and graves
for the Veterans of Ironton and Lawrence County. |
 | Flowers for the Cemetery and Navy
Night |
 | Float Awards |
 | Sponsoring out-of-town
organizations. |
 | Office supplies |
Help us to keep the Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade
moving so we can show that we shall always remember and appreciate all
the branches of service and the sacrifices those men and women made
for our Country.
