New Furnace

Another new furnace will be erected in this county in the near future. The company has been formed and the furnace will be built at or near the old Etna Furnace site.

It is understood that in case the Etna school house can be moved, the furnace will be erected there, if not, it will be erected in the immediate vicinity. A number of Ironton men are interested in the venture, and the Etna furnace lands have already been purchased. It is also understood that old Vesuvius furnace will be repaired and put in blast again.
