AFTER ANOTHER FURNACE
Col. H. A. Marting and Associates May Close a Deal Today For Milton Furnace at Wellston

Ironton Weekly Republican, May 16, 1896

Submitted by: Sharon M. Kouns

Messrs. H. A. Marting of this city, L. C. Voglesang and J. C. Clutts of Wellston, and associates of the Wellston furnace, have about secured control of the Milton furnace property in Wellston. It is expected that the deal will be closed today.

The property is owned by a Chicago bank, and Mr. Clutts is in Chicago now to bring the deal to a focus.

The Milton furnace has been idle for the past seven years, and it is the expectation of Col. Marting and his associates, if they get possession of it, to repair it at once and put it in blast at an early day.

These parties are also negotiating for the purchase of Eliza furnace at Wellston.
