One of the oldest, soundest and most
ably managed financial institutions in Lawrence County is the
Second National Bank of Ironton. For nearly thirty-five
years this institution has been doing a banking business in this
city, and it numbers among its patrons some of the largest
depositors and most substantial and conservative citizens. Mr. R.
Mather, the cashier and most active officer of the bank, has
been serving faithfully and efficiently in this capacity since its
inception, and much credit is due him for his energetic and capable
management. Messrs, C.C. Clark and W.A. Murdock,
president and vice-president of the institution, are both gentlemen
whose interests embrace other industries and enterprises and they
are numbered among the honorable and reliable businessmen of the
city.
